Angola's central bank maintained its benchmark BNA rate at 16.0 percent, along with its other key rates, and inflation is continuing to follow the downward trajectory that began in January.
Moody's Investors Service has today affirmed the B1 long-term issuer and senior unsecured ratings of the Government of Angola and maintained the negative outlook. The short-term issuer ratings remain unchanged at Not Prime.
On Feb. 10, 2017, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'B/B' long- and short-term foreign and local currency sovereign credit ratings on the Republic of Angola. The outlook remains negative.
Angola's central bank left its benchmark BNA rate seasonal effects at 16.0 percent, again saying it is paying particular attention to the rise in inflation, which it attributed to seasonal factors.
