Moody's Investors Service has today downgraded Zambia's government issuer rating to B2 from B1 . The outlook on the rating has been changed to stable from negative.

ZAMBIA has successfully been issued the targeted amount of US$1.25 billion Eurobond for infrastructure development.

On March 27, 2015, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'B+/B' long- and short-term foreign and local currency sovereign credit ratings on the Republic of Zambia. The outlook is still negative.

Fitch Rating agency has revised Zambia’s long term outlook to Stable from Positive but affirmed its ‘B’ rating.
