Motorola Solutions, the maker of two-way radios and barcode scanners, opened an office in Kenya for its enterprise business.

    “We seek to leverage on Kenya as a leading African reformer in the information, communication and technology sector,” Carlos Ferraz, strategy consultant at Motorola Solutions Enterprise Mobility for Africa, told reporters today in Nairobi, the capital. The regional office will cover sub- Saharan Africa excluding South Africa, he said.

    Motorola has provided its enterprise solutions to companies including Diageo Kenya, East African Breweries; Kenya Airways and the Kenya Ports Authority, Ferraz said. It’s also targeting providing services regionally to its global clients including DHL Worldwide Express, Shell, Unilever, Coca Cola, Ferraz said.
