Rwanda's consumer price index (CPI) slowed to 4.58 percent year on year in November, from the 5.10 percent recorded in October, the National Institute of Statistics for Rwanda said, mainly due to prices of Food and non alcoholic beverages and Education.
On a month-on-month basis, November's CPI fell 0.92 percent from the previous month, attributable primarily to the decrease in Food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.67) and Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.43). Food prices, account for nearly one-third of the prices used to calculate the CPI in Rwanda.
