    Rwanda’s consumer price index the main gauge of inflation increased by 4.7 percent in April 2016 up from 0.9 per cent same period in 2015.

    Rwanda's central bank maintained its key repo rate at 6.5 percent, saying the current accommodative policy stance "continues to yield expected positive results," including subdued inflation, improving aggregate demand and rising credit to the private sector.

    The number of international hotel chains in the country has grown further this week following the entrance into the local market of Swiss International Hotels.
