Egypt’s tourism revenues rose by 8% year on year (YoY) in 2023, hitting about $13.2 billion, a government official told Asharq Business.

    The tourist spending in Egypt was valued at around $93 per day last year, with an average stay of 9.5 nights, the source revealed.

     

     

    It is worthy to mention that Egypt targets increasing its tourism revenues from the current estimated average of $12 billion a year to $30 billion within the coming three years.

    Egypt received a record-breaking number of tourists in 2023, reaching 14.906 million people in 2023, which surpassed a previous record of 14.731 million tourists in 2010.
