    Botswana's central bank kept its Bank Rate unchanged at 5.0 percent and repeated its statement from August that "the prevailing monetary policy stance is consistent with maintain inflation within the objective range of 3 - 6 percent" given the current state of the economy and the outlook.

    Bank of Botswana (BoB) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has decided to maintain the bank rate at 5 percent, the governor of Botswana's central bank, Moses Pelaelo, said Tuesday.

    Botswana's central bank left its Bank Rate steady at 5.0 percent, saying the state of the economy and the outlook for domestic and external activity suggests the current monetary policy stance is consistent with inflation within its objective range of 3-6 percent.
