    Banks listed on the Bourse des Valeurs Mobilières de Tunis (Tunis’ stock exchange)) had a cumulated Net Banking Product of 1.5 billion Tunisian dinars ($684.5 million), in the first half of the year ended last June 30. Financial results for the period show that this performance is 10.1% higher than that of the same period in 2015 (1.36 billion dinar).

    A.M. Best has affirmed the financial strength rating of B+ (Good) and the issuer credit rating of “bbb-” of Société Tunisienne de Réassurance (Tunis Re) (Tunisia). The outlook for each rating remains stable.

    “Tunisie Telecom” (TT) had made an economic and financial break-through in 2010 by initiating procedures for its listing on the Tunis Stock Exchange and the European Stock Exchange Euronext. However, the Revolution had stopped short this momentum.

    The Abraaj Group (‘Abraaj’ or the ‘Group’), a leading investor operating in global growth markets, today announced that it has successfully exited its investment in leading Tunisian pharmaceutical company Unité de fabrication de médicaments (‘Unimed’ or the ‘Company’), through an initial public offering (‘IPO’) on the Tunis Stock Exchange. The Abraaj Group invested in Unimed through one of its Funds in 2011.
