Gold Brands Investments own of South Africa’s fastest growing fast food franchise, Chesa Nyama.

    (CAJ News) – GOLD Brands Investments has listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, making it the third company to list on the bourse this year.

     

    With the share code, GBI, it is the second company to list on the AltX board.

     

    Praxia Nathanael, Chief Executive Officer of Gold Brands Investment, said the listing added value to the company’s proposition to its franchise owner-operators, empowerment partners and staff as well as prospective partners.

     

    “In addition with shares publicly traded, this provides a way for the man in the street to access the fast-food industry in South and Africa. It is very much aligned to our company mission of empowering and uplifting individuals,” said Nathanael.

     

    Donna Oosthuyse, Director of Capital Markets at JSE, said the listing was momentum to the fast-food franchise industry as the fastest growing segment of the consumer industry.

     

    “Through the listing, Global Brands Limited will have an opportunity to tap into Africa’s largest capital market to fund its growth and franchise footprint across South Africa and key markets in the continent,” said Oosthuyse.

    Founded as Franchising to Africa Ltd in 2012, it has grown rapidly to about 300 stores and creating over 3 000 jobs.
