Following the issuance of the Financial Sector Conduct Authority’s (FSCA) discussion paper in 2022, which highlighted the pressing issue of unclaimed financial assets in South Africa, including unclaimed dividends among South African investors, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) is seeking to launch a nationwide initiative to match claimants with their unclaimed dividends.  

Prescient Investment Management, a leading systematic investment company, has successfully listed its first Actively Managed Exchange Traded Fund (AMETF), the Prescient Income Provider Feeder Actively Managed ETF on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). This new listing, marking the sixth AMETF on the JSE this year, underscores the continued commitment to expanding investment opportunities in South Africa's dynamic financial market.

The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) is pleased to announce the listing of a groundbreaking machine learning Actively Managed Exchange Traded Fund, the Numoro Multi-Asset AMETF (AQUA). This new fund which is supported by robust algorithms is born from a partnership between financial solutions provider, Numoro and the Prescient financial management platform. 

The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) has expanded its secondary listings framework by allowing secondary listings for companies primarily listed on the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd (HKEX). This strategic move enables HKEX-listed companies to pursue a secondary listing on the JSE, as well as qualifying for a fast-track listing process.
