    PROPARCO sells its stake in BICICI

    The members of the consortium made up of the Banque Nationale d'Investissement (BNI), the Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance Sociale (CNPS) the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations de Côte d'Ivoire (CDC-CI) and the Institution de Prévoyance Sociale - Caisse Générale de Retraite des Agents de l'Etat (IPS-CGRAE) have acquired all the shares in the BICICI capital held by the BNP PARIBAS Group (59.79%) and PROPARCO (7.70%).

    As a shareholder for nearly 15 years, Proparco is pleased to have accompanied BICICI in its development which has led the company to double the size of its balance sheet.

     

    Proparco confirms its priority commitment to the private sector in Africa, which accounts for 50% of its activity. In Ivory Coast, in 2021, Proparco's activity reached more than 300 million euros with more than 1000 companies supported. More recently, Proparco granted €5 million to Janngo Capital start-up fund, a venture capital fund created by Fatoumata Bâ, an important figure in African tech, to support the growth of French-speaking African start-ups.
