Kenya Airways (KQ) and Standard Chartered Bank have been removed as constituent counters of the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) 20 Share Index.
The counters have been replaced with CIC Insurance Group and Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) in the Index.
“The review incorporates the inclusion of CIC Insurance Group and Diamond Trust Bank Limited as index constituent companies replacing Kenya Airways and Standard Chartered Bank Limited with effect from April 19, 2016,” said the NSE in a press statement.
The 20-Share index is a price weighted index that acts as a barometer of economic performance for the country.
