    About Nairobi Securities Exchange

     

    Formerly constituted as Nairobi Stock Exchange in 1954 as a voluntary association of stockbrokers in the European community, Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) is the principal bourse in Kenya, offering an automated platform for the listing and trading of multiple securities.

    The NSE is publicly traded and is the second self-listed exchange in Africa.

    Stocks and bonds are traded on NSE.

    In July 2019, NSE launches NEXT, the second derivatives market in Africa.
