(Xinhua) -- Botswana's leading brokers have commended the privatisation of Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) as a welcome development that will greatly improve the problem of liquidity as it will attract international investors.

Shares in ABC Holdings Limited Shares will be delisted and removed from trading on the Botswana Stock Exchange, with effect from the 30 January 2015.

The mood on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) was buoyant in the opening week of the year, driven by the property counters that recorded the highest movements.

Although the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) main index posted a 5 percent appreciation in 2014, it was a large drop from 18.4 percent in 2013.
