The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) yesterday morning announced their 2013 financial results at a press briefing that marked the premier public announcement of the bourse’s performance in its sixty year history.

A.M. Best Europe – Rating Services Limited has affirmed the financial strength rating of B (Fair) and the issuer credit rating of “bb+” of East Africa Reinsurance Company Limited (East Africa Re) (Kenya). The outlook for both ratings remains stable.

The Nairobi based Pan African housing and urban development financier, Shelter Afrique, issued a Ksh3.5 billion bond through the Nairobi Securities Exchange in September, 2013.

Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) emerged as the winner of the Most Innovative African Stock Exchange in the 2013 Africa investor Index Series Awards held on 24th September 2013 at the New York Stock Exchange.
