Egypt to float stakes in 2 state-owned banks

Egypt will float parts of two state-owned lenders on the Egyptian stock exchange this year and sell a stake in state-owned United Bank of Egypt, the central bank governor Tarek Amer said.

Egypt will float parts of two state-owned lenders on the Egyptian stock exchange this year and sell a stake in state-owned United Bank of Egypt, the central bank governor Tarek Amer said.
Egyptian Financial Group Hermes (EFG-Hermes), one of Egypt's leading investment banks, posted consolidated net profits of EGP 461 million in 2015, down 14 percent from EGP 538 million in 2014.
Egypt’s listed property developer Emaar Misr doubled its net profit in 2015 compared with the previous year to register EGP 854.7 million, according to a statement from the company on the bourse website on Tuesday.
Ordinary shares of Arabian Food Industries Company Domty S.A.E. (DOMT.CA on the Egyptian Exchange) will begin trading today at 10:00am CLT on the EGX, opening at EGP 9.20 per share.
